The third and last choice is Colicchio & Sons.
They will offer only lunch for 2011 NYC Restaurant week, so you will be seated at Tap Room. It's an a year old restaurant, so you can find major newspapers' reviews already. NYTimes gave 3 stars. Of course, you've heard about Craft, 'wichcraft, Gramercy Tavern (now he's not there)... It's all his stuff.
#Foods: It's lunch. Perfect for warm, crispy pizza! Colicchio & Sons Tap Room has pizza for regular lunch menu. Or if you want to jazz up a little, how about rabbit? Too cute to eat? Then quail? Never had it before? Then roasted bone marrow? Don't worry. There are lamb, salmon, chicken, sausage, scallops too.
#Chef: Tom Colicchio was honored to be James Beard 2010 Outstanding Chef. I'm not a huge fan of those institution's awards, but I have to confess; It's an easy fix to follow their opinion, if you're lazy (like me) to check out everything about chef. So there you go, you have references. Oh, did I mention he prepared dinner at Oscar last year? If you've been curious o know what George Clooney ate last year at the award, you can try for yourself.
#Neighborhood: Meatpacking district, meatpacking district. You can find luxurious lingeries, fancy clothing & shoes, or night clubs (they're not going to open during your lunch time), or Apple store! Highline park is right there if you want help to digest Mr. Colicchio's foods.
Alright, I'm ready to fork and spoon the 2011 NYC Restaurant Week staring next week. How ready are you? Whether you're not going to Colin & Son or not, take a look at their regular lunch menu. It's always fun!
